The senior South Sudanese diplomat in Turkey has said Turkey's partnership would be so beneficial while they were building his country, South Sudan, the world's youngest country.

"Not only in oil sector but also in many sectors, we feel that building infrastructure for a new republic will require a partnership. We feel that in terms of investments in South Sudan, Turkey would be a very good partner to my country, especially infrastructure sector," South Sudanese ambassador in Ankara John Gai Yoh told AA in an exclusive interview.
"We are planning to have very close partnership with Turkey," he said.
Noting that they have inherited many things from Turkey throughout history, Yoh stated that they have very clear agenda in terms of relations between Turkey and South Sudan.
"We have been working on signing cooperation agreements with Turkey, especially on trade and business sectors. Turkey has decided to be active in Africa and we are in the heart of the Africa. We have natural resources and cultural richness," the ambassador said.
Yoh also said that they have already signed two agreements with Turkey.
"The agreement of abolishing entering visa for diplomatic passport holders that signed three weeks ago and the other one on the cooperation between our diplomatic academicians. We hope that by the beginning of November, we will sign trade and economic agreement between two countries," said Yoh.
The ambassador also eulogized Turkey's tremendous relations with Sudan and South Sudan.
"Turkey is one of the first countries that wanted to solve out the problems between Sudan and South Sudan in international level," Yoh praised Turkey's eagerness in the sense of resolving problems between both countries.
The ambassador also said that they expected the foreign ministry of Turkey, with Washington administration, to hold an international conference in terms of dealing with remaining problems between both sides.
Touching on South Sudan's independence, Yoh said that his country started three dimensional processes after South Sudan gained its independence in July 2011.
"We are applying for key international organizations UN, African Union and other regional organizations. We have to clear our own institutions, parliament, government. Most importantly we have to formalize our relations with neighbor republic of Sudan. We will continue to discuss remain issues of security, Abyei region and oil. In next four years time, we are going to make new constitution, we have to register our all political parties. Building a country from zero is not easy. It will take a while to build the country," said the ambassador.
