ALEPPO, Syria
The death toll in Assad regime barrel bomb attacks that targeted the northern province of Aleppo on Tuesday reached 47, health officials said.
The Syrian Revolution General Commission said a regime helicopter dropped three barrel bombs on a minibus stop in the Jisr al-Haj area.
The commission is a coalition that represents opposition groups fighting the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria.
Syria's civil war, now in its fifth year, has left more than 220,000 people dead and forced almost four million people to flee the country.
