Fire breaks out in hotel near Burj Khalifa in Dubai
15 injuries and heart attack reported, officials say

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates
A fire broke out late Thursday in a hotel in Dubai, injuring several people, officials said.
According to the Dubai Media Office’s official Twitter account, the fire began at the 20th floor of the 63-storey "The Address Downtown" hotel, near Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest skyscraper.
The office said 14 people were mildly injured, 1 moderately injured and a heart attack was reported due to crowding and smoke at the site.
Firefighter squads were working to control the fire and the New Year’s celebrations would continue as planned, it added.
There was no official statement regarding the causes of the outbreak.
