AYDIN, Turkey
Four people have been confirmed killed in the latest sinking of boats carrying migrants to Europe, the Turkish coastguard said on Thursday.
On Tuesday a boat and a dinghy carrying migrants sank off Turkey’s southwest coast. A fourth body was recovered by a Greek coastguard patrol on Thursday.
At least 25 people were aboard the vessels and the Aydin governor’s office reported 20 rescued from the Aegean Sea, one of the most frequently used routes for migrants trying to reach Europe.
