A 23-year-old Frenchman has been identified as the third suspected suicide bomber involved in the Nov. 13 Bataclan concert hall attack in Paris that left 90 people dead, the French media said Wednesday.
According to French daily Le Parisien, Frenchman Foued Mohamed Aggad, 23, was allegedly the third attacker who blew himself up at the hall.
The Paris prosecutor had earlier identified two other suicide bombers in the attack as Frenchmen Omar Ismail Mostefai and Sami Amimour.
Originally from Strasbourg, Aggad allegedly travelled to Syria as part of a group of young men, including his eldest brother Karim, 25, in December 2013.
Seven of the alleged group members then returned to France in February and March 2014, and were later imprisoned in May the same year. While his brother Karim returned, Aggad allegedly remained behind in Syria until returning to Paris to take part in the Nov.13 attacks.
Quoting police sources, Le Parisien said that Aggad's body was identified at the end of last week after his DNA matched with his family members.
The multiple gun-and-bomb attacks in Paris on Nov. 13 killed 130 people in total and left dozens of others injured. Apart from the Bataclan, at least two restaurants and Stade de France stadium in Paris had come under attack in the deadly incident.
