Iran to not allow 'interrogation' of scientists

Iran will not allow the interrogation of its nuclear scientists, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said Wednesday.
Khamenei’s remarks came from Tehran as the fourth round of talks on Iran's nuclear program between the Iranian delegation, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, and the world powers group called the P5+1, led by EU political Director Helga Schmid, began in the Austrian capital Vienna.
“Officials should know that the only way to counter the brazen enemy is will power & avoiding inaction; they should show Iran's grandeur in talks,” Khamenei tweeted.
He also outlined the limits of negotiations in the nuclear talks.
“I will not let foreigners talk to & interrogate scientists who are the dear & distinguished children of #Iran,” he added in another tweet.
Iran and the P5+1 countries -- the U.S., Russia, the U.K., France and China plus Germany -- have been holding talks to finalize the text of a landmark agreement. The negotiations are expected to last until May 22.
At a recent weekly press conference, Iran's foreign ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said: "There will be a main text about 22 pages long and a second text that will include all details and extensions of cooperation."
The third round of the talks between boths sides took place in Vienna between May 12 and 16.
Iran and the P5+1 countries reached a framework deal on April 2 in the Swiss city of Lausanne, which envisaged Tehran curbing its nuclear activity in exchange for economic sanctions relief.
The parties have until June 30 to reach a final agreement.
