JERUSALEM
Israeli police on Monday detained a 14-year-old Palestinian boy in East Jerusalem on claims that he had attempted to "hurl a stone" at a train.
Police said on Twitter that the child had been spotted trying to throw a rock at a train in Jerusalem's Shuafat neighborhood.
In the past two months, light rail trains have become a frequent target of Palestinian stone-throwers.
Israeli Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch had earlier vowed to crack down on Palestinians caught throwing stones at trains in Jerusalem.
