JERUSALEM
Israeli authorities released Mufti of Jerusalem Mohammad Hussein on the same day he was detained, on Wednesday.
Hussein's family told Anadolu Agency that Hussein was released, however the case against him remained under investigation.
The family also stated that Hussein was in good health condition.
The Arab League, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Sheikh of Al-Azhar Muhammad Ahmed el-Tayeb reacted to Israel's move of detaining Hussein.
