A medical source at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital later reported receiving three wounded patients, including a child with serious injuries, following an Israeli airstrike on the Shuhada al-Zeitoun School, which shelters displaced people in the Zeitoun neighborhood of southeastern Gaza City.
Mahmoud Basal, spokesman for Gaza’s Civil Defense, told Anadolu that an Israeli drone strike targeted a corridor inside one of the school’s facilities, wounding three displaced people.
The school is near Salah al-Din Street in eastern Gaza City, about 200 meters (656 feet) from areas where Israeli forces are deployed, according to sources.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army carried out two demolition operations inside areas under its control east of Gaza City, destroying evacuated Palestinian homes and buildings, witnesses said.
According to an Anadolu reporter, one explosion occurred east of the Shujaiya neighborhood and the other east of Al-Tuffah.
Israeli warships also opened machine-gun fire toward fishing boats off the Gaza City coast. No injuries were reported.
