Mexican police finds 15 corpses in Sinaloa

MEXICO CITY
Police in Mexico found 15 dead bodies believed to have been killed in two separate incidents related with organized crime.
The local police in San Ignacio in the state of Sinaloa found 12 bodies on Monday morning showing signs of torture, after receiving a report of an abandoned van in El Chaco neighborhood.
Separately, authorities in Sinaloa's Concordia municipality found three dead bodies killed by gunshots. The victims were aged 29, 37 and 66.
Sinaloa is the third most violent state in Mexico. From January to April 2014, 625 murders were registered by the National System of Public Security.

Joaquin Guzman was arrested on February 22 in Mazatlan, Sinaloa. He was the leader of Mexico's main drug cartel, the Cartel of Sinaloa.
The local police mentioned that the families reported on Sunday morning the kidnappings of the 12 victims found in San Ignacio. Most of them were from the municipality of El Guayabo.
On Monday morning, several Mexican media outlets claimed that Juan Jose Esparragoza Moreno, one of the main heads of the Cartel of Sinaloa, died. However, Mexican authorities hasn’t confirmed or denied the claim.
