Negotiations in Qatar to resume a humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip have "reached dead end," according to the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
It said David Barnea, the head of Israel's Mossad, ordered a delegation of the intelligence agency to return to Tel Aviv and accused the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, of not fulfilling its side of an agreement to extend the pause.
The deal had included the release of all women and children hostages held in Gaza in accordance with a list conveyed to Hamas and agreed upon, noted the statement.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he expects the International Criminal Court (ICC) to ensure accountability for the "butchers of Gaza," particularly Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Speaking to journalists onboard his presidential plane that was returning from Dubai, where he attended the COP28 UN climate summit, Erdogan emphasized the need for granting necessary punishments for those caught red-handed in incidents in Gaza.
They will closely follow the proceedings in the Hague, Erdogan said, expressing hope that the decision would bring a sense of justice to those waiting.
Condemning Israeli actions in Gaza, he said: "This is state terrorism. We cannot stay silent against this state terrorism."
More than 100 Palestinians were killed and many more injured in an Israeli missile attack on the Jabalia refugee camp in the Gaza Strip, with many missing under the rubble of a collapsed residential building, Palestinian media reported.
"More than 100 Palestinians were killed Saturday in a new massacre committed by Israeli occupation forces in the Jabalia refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip," the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported.
The death toll from Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip has soared to 15,207 since the start of the conflict on Oct. 7, said the government Media Office in the blockaded Palestinian enclave.
“70% of the victims are children and women, and more than 40,652 people have been injured,” it said.
