ISTANBUL
Mohammed Al Fatih Naciri, the representative of the Mission of the Arab League, has expressed that the turmoil in Syria was still ongoing because of international balances.
Naciri, who has been in Istanbul to attend the 7th Turkish Arab Economic Forum, spoke to AA and said that the current process was moving against Al Assad administration in the country.
The position of Syria, local and international balances are the reasons of the ongoing turmoil in the country. A certain balance was considered while Russia and China attended the meeting in Geneva as Saudi Arabia and Iran did not join, stated Naciri.
Naciri said that Al Assad regime was following a policy of hassle that disturbed neighbouring countries as it made a Turkish reconnaissance aircraft crash, and trying to lift the sectarian tension in the country.
He also said that the opposition groups should band together in the whole country.
Naciri claimed that the U.S. would not run the risk of striking Syria following its experiments in Afghanistan and Iraq.
