DHAKA
The 72 hours of road rail and waterways blockade, called by main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) led 18 party alliance, is underway for second day on Wednesday amid stray incidences, arson, bomb blast, procession and clash with law enforcing agencies. The fourth spell of opposition blockade began at 6.00 am Tuesday and will continue till 6.00 am Friday.
Road communication of Dhaka-Chitagong, Dhaka-Sylhet, Dhaka-Rajshahi and Dhaka-Khulna and local roads remained stopped due to the blockade.
Four vehicles were set on fire in Dhaka Chitagong highway on Tuesday night. Meanwhile in the Wednesday morning blockade supporters set on fire rail lines at Tejgaon in Dhaka which was doused by police.
BNP and Jamaat activists brought out procession in different areas in Dhaka, Chitagong and Khulna and put barricades on important highways.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami activists brought out several processions at different places in Dhaka including South Jatrabari, eastern part of the city, on Wednesday.
