Russia plans to export 57M tons of grain in agricultural season

MOSCOW

Russia plans to export a total of 57 million tons of grain in the current agricultural season, from July 2024 to June 2025, said Oksana Lut, the minister of agriculture.

Speaking at the Russian Agriculture Summit in the capital Moscow, Lut said a total of 128 million tons of grain was harvested in the country last year.

Saying that Russia faced difficulties such as drought and floods last year, Lut noted that despite issues, the country realized the fifth-largest grain harvest in its history.

He said the country exported 37 million tons of grain in the first half of the current agricultural season.

Russia's grain exports in the previous agricultural season amounted to 72 million tons.
