MADRID
Spanish police have arrested 10 suspects for having alleged links with terrorist organizations, including Daesh in the autonomous community of Catalonia.
Police said the arrests were made during raids on 13 homes and businesses Wednesday.
Several other arrests have been made in Spain in recent months. Police recently said that they arrested four members of a family, including a 16-year-old boy for trying to join Daesh in Syria.
Last October, Spain's Interior Ministry said that approximately 50 Spanish citizens joined militant groups in Syria and Iraq. Most foreign fighters were said to be from the Spanish-speaking enclaves of Ceuta and Melilla in Morocco.
Over 30 people have been arrested so far this year in anti-terrorism operations, police added.
