BRUSSELS
Swedish police arrested three men in Gothenburg on Thursday evening for alleged weapons offenses, Swedish local media reported on Friday.
The arrests came after a gun attack on a restaurant in Gothenburg on Wednesday night, killing two people and injuring eight others.
Swedish police have not yet confirmed whether the three arrested men were involved or suspected of involvement in the restaurant shooting.
Gothenburg police spokesman Björn Blixter told Swedish public broadcaster SVT on Friday, "It cannot be excluded that they (the arrested men) are linked to the shooting, that’s what we’re looking at."
Wednesday’s restaurant shooting is related to gang crimes in Gothenburg, according to the police.
