BEIRUT
Lebanese Social Affairs Minister Wael Abu Faur on Monday said that Germany would accept 5,000 Syrian refugees from Lebanon.
Abu Faur told a symposium titled "Syrian refugees: Economy, Social Life and Security Reflexions" in Beirut, they planned to take measures to handle the increasing number of refugees in the country. In this framework it's planned to split the number of refugees for Arab and foreign countries, Abu Faur underlined.
He called for developed refugee camps to ease the burden of the Lebanese nation and added that his country could only provide 23 percent of the help for the refugees.
Abu Faur pointed out that it's out of the question to close the doors for refugees or deport them.
The United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) said in its latest report that more than 604,000 Syrian-Palestinian refugees get help.
