At least 39 people, including three women were killed in attacks staged by the Syrian regime in several cities on Monday, activists say.
Assad forces killed 23 in Hama, 8 in Idlib, 6 in the suburbs of Damascus, 5 in Homs, 3 in Aleppo, one in each Daraa, Deir-uz Zor and Quneitra,according to London-based Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), which tracks civilian and dissident casualties. Of the causalities, seven were reportedly members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA), SNHR stated.
The Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) said in a press release that many people including women and children in Walid Hospital in Al-Vaar region were killed and wounded in attacks staged by the regime powers. The exact figures of wounded people were not given while some of them were in critical condition, it was reported.
Huge damages were also reported in some residential area of Maari region of Aleppo as a warplane of Syrian Air Forces bombed the area.
Meanwhile SANA, Syrian national news agency, said that regime forces made major gains against opposition fighters in operations across the country.
More than 100,000 people have been killed in the two and a half year old conflict, according to the UN, while over two million people have fled the country to seek refuge in other countries, mostly neighboring Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon and Iraq.
