At least 39 people, including three children and two women, were killed in attacks staged by the Syrian regime in several cities on Sunday, activists said.
Assad forces killed 15 in the suburbs of Damascus, 12 in Aleppo, six in Daraa, three in Homs and one in Hama, Tartus and Deir-ez Zor each, the Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) stated.
According to the London-based group which tracks civilian and dissident casualties, ten of the 39 causalities were members of the Free Syrian Army (FSA).
The Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) said in a press release that fierce clashes took place in Aleppo between opposition forces and regime troops.
The regime army gained the majority of Aleppo's 80th Brigade from opposition forces, Syria’s official press agency SANA claimed.
