The U.S.-led coalition carried out more than 10 airstrikes against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, Sunday and Monday, according to U.S. Central Command.
In Syria, two airstrikes near Deir ez-Zor destroyed an ISIL armed vehicle and an anti-aircraft artillery transport vehicle. An additional two strikes hit an ISIL compound and an ISIL-controlled airfield near the northwestern city of Aleppo. Two airstrikes near the de facto ISIL capital of Raqqah targeted ISIL compounds.
In the northern Syrian town of Manbij, two airstrikes hit an ISIL training camp, and ISIL vehicles near a grain storage facility.
Central Command said the facility was used by ISIL as a logistics hub and vehicle staging area.
The United Arab Emirates and Jordan participated in the Syria strikes.
In Iraq, one airstrike near the northern city of Kirkuk destroyed two ISIL vehicles, while another two ISIL armed vehicles were destroyed in a separate strike nearby the northwest Iraqi town of Sinjar. A separate strike against an ISIL vehicle in the northwest was unsuccessful.
