ANKARA
Ankara Governor's Office said that the person, who staged the suicide attack at US Embassy in Ankara, was identified as Ecevit Sanli, a member of terrorist DHKP-C organization.
The office noted that Sanli tried to enter the embassy building from personnel and visitors gate by using a fake ID, and then set off the bomb mechanism wrapped around his body.
According to an examination by Forensic Medicine Institute on DNA samples, the bomber was identified as DHKP-C terrorist organization member Ecevit Sanli, added the office.

Meanwhile, the body of suicide bomber, who staged an attack on US Embassy in Ankara, was delivered to his family in Ankara.
Family will take the body of bomber Ecevit Sanli to Black Sea province of Ordu for a funeral.
Meanwhile, a web-site close to DHKP-C announced that DHKP-C claimed the responsibility for the attack.
On the other hand, the security guard Mustafa Akarsu, who was killed in the attack, was laid to rest in Kizilcahamam town of Ankara.
US Ambassador in Ankara Francis Ricciardone, Ankara Governor Alaaddin Yuksel and several other officials participated in the funeral ceremony.
A suicide blast on Friday at a checkpoint outside the US Embassy compound killed the bomber and a security guard, while wounding a Turkish journalist.
