WASHINGTON
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke by phone Monday with UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy to exchange views on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
Rubio and Lammy "discussed ongoing efforts to secure and support a lasting end to the Russia-Ukraine war," State Department spokeswoman Tammy Bruce said in a statement.
They discussed US President Donald Trump’s "productive meeting" with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy on April 26 and also the April 22 discussions among the US, France, Germany and Ukraine hosted by the UK in London, she added.
Rubio also thanked Lammy for the UK’s work towards a "durable peace" in Ukraine.
