ANKARA
Credit volume in the banking sector in Turkey increased to 904.4 billion Turkish liras in a week as of May 31, sector's regulatory authority announced on Monday.
On May 24, the credit volume was 883.7 billion TL, the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkey (BDDK) said.
According to the weekly bulletin of the BDDK, overall credits excluding the financial sector totaled 825.4 billion TL.
Consumer loans increased 0.86 percent in a week to reach 215.8 billion TL.
