Natural disasters have claimed a total of 455 lives across Nepal in the past three-and-a-half months, according to local media reports.
Heavy rains, landslides, and floods have been the main cause of the killings, the local media wrote, citing data from the country’s Home Affairs Ministry.
Some 2,230 people were also injured in various disasters, while 72 people are still missing.
Earlier this month the ministry also confirmed that 56 people had died in floods and landslides caused by monsoon rains on July 1-15.
Every year hundreds die due to landslides and floods during Nepal’s monsoon season, which runs between July and September.
