Pakistan’s ties with Saudi Arabia are 'historical and time-tested,' says Shehbaz Sharif

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday met Saudi crown prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh to discuss a string of issues, including ways to bolster cooperation in trade and investment.
Sharif, who arrived Riyadh on a two-day official visit to attend the 8th edition of the Future Investment Initiative summit, which started on Tuesday, said in a post on X that the two allies reaffirmed the commitment to strengthening bilateral ties in trade, investment, culture, innovation, technology, and beyond.
"Pakistan’s ties with Saudi Arabia are historical and time-tested," he added.
Sharif is accompanied by several ministers, including Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
This year's conference theme is "Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow." Participants will discuss solutions to global challenges related to artificial intelligence, robotics, education, energy, space, public health, and sustainable development.
