Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 9,846.11 points, up 1.09% or 106.39 points from the previous close.

On Wednesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 0.25% to close at 9,739.72 points, with a daily transaction volume of 93.4 billion liras ($2.63 billion).

The USD/TRY exchange rate was 35.4650 as of 10 am (0700GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.5840 and the GBP/TRY traded at 43.2830.

The price of one ounce of gold was $2,693.50, while the price of Brent crude oil was around $81.30 per barrel.
