ANKARA 

Türkiye's benchmark stock index rose 0.29% to close Friday at 10,771.36 points, extending its gains to a sixth session.

After starting the day at 10,754.37 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 31.42 points from Thursday's close.

On a weekly basis, the index gained 2.87% as of Friday's close.

The price of an ounce of gold was $2,340.90, while Brent crude oil sold for around $85.69 per barrel as of 6.17 p.m. local time (1517GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was at 32.8455 and the euro/lira at 35.0959, while a British pound traded for 41.4838 liras.
