BAGHDAD
The death toll in bomb attacks rocking Iraqi capital of Baghdad increased to 39 and the number of wounded reached 120 on Wednesday.
Sources said, the deadly blasts occured in Sadr city, Baghdad Al-Jadida (New Baghdad), Hayy Al-Amil, Al-Kadhimya, Al-Saydiya, Ash Shu'alah, Dayali, Dolei, Medain, Salman Paq districts of Baghdad killed at least 39 people including security forces and wounded 120 others.
Some of the attacks were mounted by suicide bombers while bomb-laden vehicles exploded in others.
The heaviest loss was in the Mahmoudiyah district where a suicide bomber detonated the bombs while entering a restaurant and left 11 people dead and injured 23 others.
Several houses and shops were damaged due to the attacks while traffic in the region was halted for long.
No responsibility has been claimed for the attacks.
