A total of 60 people were killed in several cities of Syria on Wednesday during operations staged by forces loyal to the Syrian regime, activists said.
Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), a London-based group that tracks civilian and dissident casualties, said that Assad forces killed 18 in the suburbs of capital Damascus, 12 in Deir al-Zor, 11 in Homs, 9 in Dera'a, 6 in Aleppo, 2 in Idlib and one each in Quneitra and Hama in air and land offensives.
SNHR said more than one thousand people were wounded during the attacks on Qusair, adding that there was an urgent need of medical supplies.
The international society had to pressure the regime for the delivery of medical supplies to treat the wounded in Qusair, said SNHR.
Meanwhile, Syria Local Coordination Committee (LCC) said fierce clashes continued between Free Syrian Army forces and Hezbollah fighters in northern Qusair.
