ANKARA
UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon invited Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in an international humanitarian aid conference for Syria which will take place in Kuwait on January 30.
Holding a telephone conversation, Ban and Ihsanoglu discussed the political and humanitarian dimensions of the recent situation in Syrian crisis.
Both sides expressed concern about the condition in Syria, and promised support to all type of efforts to solve the crisis.
Ban also invited Ihsanoglu to the conference which will be hosted by Kuwait Emir and UN secretariat general.
