Turkish national athlete Yasmani Copello Escobar Thursday won the bronze medal in the men’s 400-meter hurdles at the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
The Cuban-born runner, 29, took the bronze in a national record time of 47.92 behind Kenyan runner Boniface Mucheru Tumuti.
The U.S.’ Kerron Clement won the event’s gold medal, clocking 47.73 seconds.
