Clint Capela has signed a five-year, $90 million extension contract with Houston Rockets, the National Basketball Assocation (NBA) announced.
The deal will keep the center in Houston for the next five seasons, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Capela was a key player for Houston's success last season, as the team made it to the Western Conference Finals but fell to Golden State Warriors in seven games.
Capela posted career high numbers in minutes (27.5), points (13.9), rebounds (10.8) and blocks (1.9).
The center posted 25 double-doubles in his first three seasons combined, but managed to make 42 solely last season.
The Rockets are also expected to add another key piece to their squad in Carmelo Anthony.
