Switzerland managed to hold Brazil to a 1-1 draw on Sunday evening in the World Cup Group E match at Rostov-On-Don in Russia.
Title favorites Brazil changed the scoreline early with a stunning curved kick from Philippe Coutinho in the 20th minute, but Switzerland managed to equalize five minutes after the second half kick-off.
Midfielder Steven Zuber's 50th minute header gave his team a crucial point in their opening match, adding to another surprise result after Mexico beat Germany in Group F.
Brazil's 21 attempted shots became the third most in Russia 2018; they could still not win the match. Argentina shot 27 times at Iceland but were held to a 1-1 draw, Germany's 26 shots could not save them against Mexico.
After the results on Sunday, Serbia led Group E with 3 points with 1-0 win over Costa Rica.
