Turkey: Arrest warrants out for 25 on-duty, ex-soldiers
Police conduct raids in 9 provinces including capital Ankara to round up suspects

ANKARA
Arrest warrants were issued for 25 soldiers in the capital Ankara on Tuesday as part of a FETO/PDY (Fetullah Terror Organizaiton/ Parallel State Structure) probe into the General Commandership of Gendarmerie.
Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office issued the arrest warrants, which target on-duty, dismissed and retired soldiers.
Police then conducted simultaneous operations in nine provinces, including Ankara.
According to the Turkish government, the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO) and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup of July 15, 2016, which left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.
Ankara also accuses FETO of being behind a long-running campaign to overthrow the state through the infiltration of Turkish institutions, particularly the military, police, and judiciary.
