A PKK terror attack on Monday killed one villager and injured four others in Turkey's eastern province of Bitlis, local governor's office said.
The attack took place when a group of villagers were reportedly gathering firewood, said the statement issued by Bitlis Governor's office.
The injured civilians were rushed to a nearby hospital, it added.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU -- resumed its decades-long armed campaign against Turkey in July 2015.
Since then, it has been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,200 Turkish security personnel and civilians, including a number of women and children.
