ANKARA
The e-prescribing system, compulsory as of January 15, was working trouble-free, said Harun Kizilay, the secretary general of Turkish Pharmacists' Association.
Kizilay told AA correspondent on Tuesday that they were following the e-prescribing system closely on a town and provincial basis.
"As Turkish Pharmacists' Association, we support the e-prescribing system, however we are also awaiting some shortcomings to be eliminated. The Social Security Institution should make the Medula system work properly. We are ready to support this project," said Kizilay.
Kizilay also stated that doctors were accessing the system with passwords which had legal loopholes and said, "The processes for doctors to access the system with electronic signature rather than password should be completed as soon as possible."
