Secretary General of the Turkish Red Crescent, Muzaffer Komit said their priority was to enable Syrians to establish sheltering units close to Turkish border and send them aid from borderline.
Speaking to AA, Komit said they had been doing their best to comfort Syrian people in need.
He said there were 150,000 Syrians sheltered in Turkey now and for that number not to increase they started establishing tent cities beyond Turkey border and pass aid via borderline. Saying that several Syrians would like to enter Turkey but infrastructure was needed to receive them, he added they would not leave Syrians alone and continue to do their best. He said Turkish government sent 35,000 tonnes of flour to Syrians so far.
Defining the Turkish Red Crescent as "the agency on which the sun never sets", Komit said they continue their efforts in Myanmar, Sudan and Pakistan nonstop.
He said their biggest operation abroad would be in Myanmar. They would meet with Myamnar Red Cross in February in Myanmar in order to extend their help on structuring cities, building hospitals, schools and providing psychological support.
