ANKARA
Iraqi Parliament Speaker Osama al-Nujaifi attend on Sunday a congress meeting of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party in Ankara, the Turkish capital.
Speaking at the congress, Nujaifi said that Turkey showed how Islam and democracy can get along well with each other.
Stating that AK Party set a good model for the entire region and the world, adding "AK Party is opening a new era. We are experiencing a something new and bright in Turkey. We are seeing how Islam and democracy can get along well with each other," said Nuceyfi.
Nujaifi also said that following right policies, AK Party strengthened the ties with Arab and the Islamic world.
"It seems that Turkey is supporting all revolutions. It has been supporting Palestinian's rights fully. It receives refugees with open arms, look after them despite there is a great number of them," Nujaifi said.
