ANKARA
Leader of the regional Kurdish administration in Iraq's north, Massoud Barzani attended on Sunday a congress meeting of Turkey's ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party in Ankara, the Turkish capital.
Barzani said that they were ready to provide assistance to Recep Tayyip Erdogan for stoping the bloodshed in the region.
"We are ready to try our best in order to help Erdogan stop the bloodshed. Whatever necessary will be done and we are ready to do it. We do think that peace is the only way to understand each other accurately," said Barzani.
Stating that there were several serious issues in the region that interest Turkey and Iraq, adding "it is a great pain for us when people, Turkish or Kurdish, lose their lives. As peoples who live in this area, we ought to assist each other. It is indeed a shame if we reach the level of killing each other. We can see that Erdogan's policy is on the right track," said Barzani.
I hope that Turkey and Iraq relations will be permanent, Barzani also said.
