ANKARA
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Israel was guilty and it should compensate its crime.
Nobody shall expect Turkey to take a step before Israel compensates its crime, added Davutoglu who spoke private Bugun TV on Tuesday regarding Turkish-Israeli relations.
Turkey's statements as well as conditions to sit on negotiation table with Israel are clear, said Davutoglu, adding that a psychological milieu was tried to be created against Turkey as if it was avoiding a meeting with Israel, but Israel was guilty and Turkey expected it to compensate the crime.
Davutoglu noted that Turkey was not playing a diplomacy game and was not making bluff.
In recent period, foreign ministers of other countries are all bringing messages from Israel saying it is ready to fix the relations, but Israel is trying to make Turkey look like uncompromising as if it is continuously rejecting Israel, said Davutoglu.
Recent media reports quoted a senior Israeli official saying Israel was willing to discuss with Turkey the developments in Syria. The official had also hinted that Israel was ready to discuss ways to normalize relations with Turkey without any preconditions.
In May 2010, a Freedom Flotilla for Gaza concluded in a disaster when nine Turkish citizens were shot to death by Israeli armed forces on the Turkish Mavi Marmara which was the leading ship. The incident brought Turkish-Israeli relations to a historic low. Ankara demanded a formal apology from Israel for the killings and that Israel lifted the Gaza blockade. Turkey also expelled the Israeli ambassador and suspended military agreements it penned with the country.
