Deputy Premier & government spokesman Bulent Arinc said that a motion on extending the term of cross-border operation in Iraq's north was sent to Parliament.
Following the Council of Ministers meeting on Monday, Arinc said that the motion, which extended the term of deploying Turkish soldiers in the north of Iraq for operation against PKK terrorists, was signed by the Council of Ministers and sent to Parliament.
The motion is extending the term one more year as of October 17, 2012, he added.
Arinc expressed hope that the Parliament would give priority to this issue when it began new legislative year on October 1.
