Turkish police on Thursday stormed clandestine drug manufacturing laboratories in the eastern province of Van, according to police department.
In a statement, the provincial police department said that anti-narcotics units carried out raids on three different addresses in Muradiye district of the province to curb the PKK terrorist organization's access to financial resources.
During the operations, police arrested five people on suspicion of drug offenses and seized 120 kilograms (264 pounds) of heroin as well as a large of chemical ingredients used for drug production.
The raids continued in the region, the statement added.
