TUNCELI, Turkey
Three soldiers were martyred Friday in a terrorist attack in the eastern province of Tunceli, a local security sources said.
PKK terrorists detonate a roadside bomb on the Elazig-Tunceli road, hitting a military vehicle, the source said on condition of anonymity due to security reasons.
Troops and Cobra helicopters have been sent to the area of the attack, the source added.
The PKK - listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU - resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July, since when more than 400 members of the security forces have been martyred. Around 3,700 PKK terrorists have been killed in the same period.
