The dean of Yale School of Management (SOM) said that Turkey had already reached the level of the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India, China) countries and should be placed among them.
Dean Edward Snyder stated that Turkey's rapidly growing economy and positive demographic properties would play a significant role in global change.
He said, "USA, Europe and Japan dominated the world economy ten years ago. However, this is changing. The world is becoming more flat."
Snyder mentioned the importance of Turkey and said, "Turkey is one of the pivot players in the world. I believe Turkey has reached the level of BRIC countries long ago. BRIC is a little outdated and it needs to be updated and Turkey should take its place among these countries."
