BAGHDAD
Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has been taken to hospital in Baghdad for urgent medical treatment.
According to a statement released from Iraqi Presidency that the president who has been working hard in order to stable the national consensus lately was hospitalized due to a health emergency caused by fatigue and exhaustion.
It has been stated that the information about his health condition would be released later on.
Talabani held several talks with Iraqi officials regarding to political problems in the country in the past few days.
Talabani was taken to hospital a few hours after his meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki about the latest political conflict between Irbil and Baghdad on Monday evening.
After receiving medical treatment in Germany for three months, Talabani returned to Iraq in September.
