Two PKK terrorists have been killed by security forces in the eastern Turkish province of Tunceli, officials said Saturday.

In a statement, the provincial governor’s office said the deaths occurred during a counter-terrorism operation around the village of Okurlar on Friday and Saturday.

Arms were also recovered, the statement added.

The PKK - listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and EU - resumed its 30-year armed campaign against the Turkish state in July 2015. Since then, more than 430 security personnel have been martyred and more than 3,800 PKK terrorists killed.
