Turkish security forces capture PKK terrorist affiliated with group's Russian network
Bari Iusubov engaged in propaganda activities for terror organization in Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Iraq, according to sources
ANKARA
A PKK/KCK terrorist affiliated with terror group's Russian network was nabbed on Wednesday in Türkiye in a joint operation conducted by the Turkish National Intelligence Organization (MIT) and security forces, sources said.
Bari Iusubov engaged in propaganda activities for the terrorist organization in Russia, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and the terror group’s Mahmur camp in Iraq, the sources said on condition of anonymity.
Iusubov maintained close ties with high-ranking members of the terror group and was involved in several terrorist activities.
The terrorist, who had been under MIT's surveillance since 2020, has been arrested and sent to prison.
