ALEPPO, Syria
Fifty soldiers from Assad's forces were killed in clashes in Aleppo’s Handarat region, claimed a commander from one of the Syrian opposition groups, the Islamic Front on Tuesday.
Ismail Ahmad, one of Islamic Front’s commanders, told Anadolu Agency that Iranian, Iraqi and Lebanese mercenaries were among those killed and that Islamic Front’s forces had taken hostage an Afghan soldier.

At least 10 people we killed Tuesday in the Arbin region of Damascus during raids conducted by Assad's warplanes.
The Syrian Revolution General Commission (SGRC) said that tens of other people were injured in airstrikes.
More than 190,000 people have been killed in Syria since the conflict began early 2011, according to latest UN figures published in August.
