BERLIN (AA) - As it has been 50 years since an association agreement was signed between Turkey and European Economic Community (EEC), Germany's Green Party deputy Mehmet Kilic pointed to the violation of Turkish citizens' rights and said, "Rights of Turkish citizens have still been usurped."
He stated that the promises to Turkey made by EU have failed over a half century, reminding that there were over 50 resolutions in the European Court of Justice concerning the Turks living in EU.
Green Party offered a law proposal to Federal Assembly so that rights of Turkish citizens arising from the Turkey-EEC association agreement could be put into practise in German laws, Kilic noted.
