At least 20 people were killed during an air strike by the Syrian army in southern Deir Al-Asafir village, opposition activists said.
Tens of others were injured after Syrian fighter jets dropped bombs on the village which is in south of capital city of Damascus, Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC), an umbrella group for Syrian opposition, said in a statement.
The SRGC also stated that dead people include women and children.
According to the Syrian Local Coordination Committee, (LCC), numerous houses were demolished or damaged as the regime dropped bombs on the region and the people started to leave their hometown.
SRGC and LCC officials expressed that there is no electricity and internet in the region.
Meanwhile, Assad regime has seized control of Muleiha town, in the south of Damascus, which has been under siege for four and a half months, opposition activists told AA.
